Plantz St. is out to transform people’s quality of life through nutritious and delicious plant foods, kitchen fitness, and mindfulness. We offer fresh, education and inspiration to motivate and support individuals interested in eating plants.
Our programs are primarily based online, and in 2016, we opened our first brick-and-mortar location in Northern California. Plantz St. Santa Rosa is the world’s very first culinary gym, a hub for locals to build their kitchen skills and learn how to cook with fresh, whole foods.
Our long-term vision is for Culinary Gyms to be a part of our mainstream culture with hundreds of locations around the world. Every Culinary Gym will help to empower individuals and the community as a whole to embrace, maintain, and thrive on a whole food, plant-strong lifestyle.
A culinary gym is a place designed to build kitchen skills and the ability to prepare whole foods with the intention to improve and maintain physical fitness, health, and happiness.
Our goal in working with people is to build their kitchen fitness so that ultimately they can sustain and trive on a plant-based diet.
We define ‘Kitchen Fitness’ as the ability to efficiently and joyfully prepare delicious meals using fresh, whole foods. Thus, when you are kitchen fit, you feel at ease in the kitchen, and your creations are so good that you look forward to them.
Without kitchen fitness, preparing healthy home-cooked meals will likely feel difficult, expensive, and time-consuming. Just a little practice in the kitchen is all you need to start building your kitchen fitness today! Every meal you make is a chance to nourish your body inside and out!
